The IOBox controller board was created with the objective
of enabling an easy integration of real-time data capture solutions for
software development companies.
IOBox exists in two versions: IOBox I, with an internal RFID reader, and
IOBox II, with both an internal RFID reader and a graphic 128x64 px display.
Its operation is similar to that of I/O Board,
being totally customizable and allowing data collection, communication and control
through the Internet or in a local network.
The board is connected to the computer through an Ethernet 10Base-T network with
the TCP/IP protocol installed. It enables one connection for magnetic band or
proximity readers and any kind of reader with a keyboard emulation output.
It includes 2 to 4 digital inputs and 2 to 4 relay outputs. It does not need
any additional concentrator, which enables to lower the installation's costs.
The board is directly connected to the computer network, which increases and guarantees
the communications reliability. The board management can be made with the
DCDS (Data Collection Development System) software, or through
IOBControl, an ActiveX control which allows to explore all the board's features.
Because of its flexibility and simplicity of use, IOBOx has a wide range of applications,
such as access control (being able to be integrated in
turnstiles and channel barriers for people flow control), door control, alarms
and sensors, data acquisition, automation, domotics, etc.
